So you have chosen to become a master of the guitar, good show. But are you up to the task, are you prepared to live, sleep and breath “Guitar”, are you ready to rock…
The guitar is not just an art form, but also a technical science. Like any art form the final product is the person. Like any hi-tech science, there are multiple inputs and only one processed output. Quite simply this means everything you’ve seen, read, or heard is combined with your mood and skill. The first thing anyone will hear when you play is you…then the tune…
The key to learning any scale form or progression is to break down the seemingly endless note combinations into the most basic forms or sequences.
Bass Players will have no difference with this course as all the same basic fundamentals apply.
With the bass, tablature and fret diagrams any reference to strings 1 and 2 will apply to the bass player as strings 1 and 2 plus 9 frets. If a diagram calls for string 2 on fret 1 then you will play string 2 on fret 10 (fret 1 plus 9) or if the diagram calls for string 1 on fret 5 then you play string 1 on fret 14 (fret 5 plus 9).

I find this is an effective way to establish a full fret board range for the beginner. The bass player will also be required to learn the 2 string chords and play larger chords as note progressions when lesson exercises are dealing with chord patterns.
The bass guitar music staff is slightly altered by one space, for the purpose of the task at hand will not dwell on this any deeper as the note naming conventions are identical in sequence, we will use the standard form only.
