As the guitar open key is C Major, we should be able to follow the fret board octave pattern relatively simple using the Lydian form 1 pattern on the open fret (fret 0). In the following diagram the fret board roots are white. On the individual forms this root has a number identifying the finger used at that position. Pay particular attention to the way the forms overlap each other. Each form is composed of 2-3 fret form the preceding and the following forms in the sequence.
